Azurdee Veigel-Vecchi, ACMHC

Hi, I’m Azurdee!

I've always been fascinated by people and their stories. Even before becoming a therapist, I found myself drawn to listening, understanding, and walking alongside others through life's most difficult moments.

I truly believe every person has a story worth telling and deserves to feel seen, understood, and accepted without judgment. My own experiences with adversity have shaped who I am and strengthened my belief that healing is possible. Those experiences help me meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and hope while trusting in their incredible capacity for growth and resilience.

Being a therapist isn't just my career—it's genuinely the work I feel I was called to do.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply relational. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel emotionally safe enough to be themselves, so my first priority is getting to know you—your story, your strengths, and the experiences that have shaped you.

I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship distress, trauma, attachment wounds, intimacy and sexual concerns, faith and major life transitions.

Whether we're healing from the past or creating a different future, I strive to help you feel supported, challenged when needed, and empowered throughout the process.

My Approach

I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs by integrating evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic interventions.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, courageous enough to grow, and hopeful enough to believe that lasting change is possible. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they build healthier relationships, heal old wounds, and create lives that feel more connected, fulfilling, and authentic.

Human Side

I enjoy spending a free weekend:

Lifting weights with my husband, then relaxing by the pool with our dogs and a good book! OR thrifting with my kids (and laughing -- because they are SO funny) and finding a good restaurant!

My guilty pleasure is:

Monster Energy Drinks, Watching Reality TV while I workout, and a trip to Vegas once in awhile!

A piece of therapeutic advice that works for me:

For those of us who are hard on ourselves: Turn toward yourself with the same compassion you offer everyone else. I also like to remember that healing begins when we stop abandoning ourselves and to ask "What would it be like to be on my own side right now?"
