Madi Turner, CSW

Hi, I’m Madi!

During one of the most difficult times in my life I started attending therapy and realized the healing power of having a kind, non-judgmental, and objective person to help me figure out my path moving forward.

I have always been a deeply curious person and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my clients and helping them understand themselves.

I view being a therapist as not just a job but a calling and I feel honored to help create a safe space where healing can take place.

My Approach

When I meet with a new client I like to take time to truly understand them and their story. I believe it is deeply healing to confide in another person without fear of judgment or criticism. From there I like to work collaboratively with my client to figure out their goals for therapy and steps we'll take to work towards this plan.

Human Side

I enjoy spending a free weekend:

My ideal weekend includes any combination of: yoga, pottery, reading, shopping at a thrift or used book store, going hiking, and spending time at home with my 2 cats.

My guilty pleasure is:

Rewatching Law and Order SVU for the thousandth time.

A piece of therapeutic advice that works for me:

When we approach our imperfections with compassion and curiosity rather than criticism, change becomes possible.
